Births on the Island have fallen by nearly 45 percent in 15 years.
That's according to Paul Craine, a Member of the Leglislative Council who's just published a new Isle of Man Population Atlas.
The book analyses changes in the Island's demographics, and will soon be available in local bookshops.
Mr Craine says the trend in declining births isn't unique to the Island:
