The Water and Sewerage Authority have advised customers that due to the recent heavy rainfall an amount of raw water has found its way into the Douglas Water Treatment Works.
Its led to high levels of sediment in the water leading the quality of the water to be at lower levels than normal.
As an advisory measure it's recommended that you boil your water for drinking, food preparation and cleaning teeth, this is the advice for the next two days.
The areas affected are, Douglas, Onchan, Baldrine, Lower Laxey, Crosby, Marown, Glen Vine, Santon, Ballasalla,
Castletown, Ballabeg, Colby, Arbory, Port Erin and Port St Mary.
