Water Authority comments on disruption

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority has commented on the ongoing water issues in lower Douglas.

In a statement this morning, it says the issue is because of a burst trunk main on Well Road Hill earlier this morning.

The Authority’s engineers are on site and hope to have normal service resumed as soon as possible.

It added that when repairing large mains there’s the risk of disturbing non-harmful deposits in the network which could discolour water.

If this affects you the WSA advises to run the kitchen tap until the water clears.

Customers who require further information are advised to contact the WSA’s customer services department on 695949.
