People who are displaying symptoms of mumps have been urged to stay at home to stop the illness spreading.
The Public Health Directorate says whilst it doesn’t believe there is a mumps outbreak – a viral infection which mimics the illness is doing the rounds.
Symptoms include headache, fever and swollen glands.
