A Viking ingot discovered by a metal detectorist has been declared treasure by the coroner of inquests.
John Smart found the 1,000 year old silver bar, which weighs 10.53 grams, sparking a treasure trove hearing.
Tests showed the ingot was more than 88 per cent silver.
It will go on display in the Viking and Medieval Gallery at the Manx Museum from this Thursday, May 30.
