The Department of Health and Social Care says it doesn’t know how long it takes patients to get appointments with their GPs.
In Tynwald this week, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper asked Health Minister David Ashford a question on the issue.
In a written reply, Mr Ashford said the department doesn’t collect or ask for the data from doctors’ surgeries.
He added there are too many variables – such as how urgent an appointment might be or whether a patient asks to see a specific doctor.
