Tynwald's voted to back cutting April's minimum wage rise from 9.9 percent to five percent.
This means the hourly rate will go up to £12.86 per hour, instead of the previously planned £13.46.
A total of 18 MHKs voted in favour of Chief Minister Alf Cannan's proposals in Tynwald this week, with six against.
Meanwhile the youth rate will go up to £10.16 instead of £10.76.
