New rules to strengthen workplace safety will go before Tynwald next month.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says the changes update laws first introduced in 2003, and if approved could come into effect the next day.
Changes would include a UK system to help employers identify risks, tighten fire precautions on construction sites and bring offshore wind projects under health and safety laws.
The changes would also give agency staff who are new or expectant mothers the same protections as directly employed workers.
