The office of fair trading (OFT) is recalling several models of tumble dryers over a potential safety risk.
OFT says certain Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan and Proline products manufactured before September 2015 are at risk of catching fire if they've not already been modified by the companies.
Those with the machines are being told to unplug them and stop using them immediately until it has been made safe.
You can find out if yours has been affected by calling 0800 151 0905 quoting the model and serial numbers, or by visiting www.whirlpool.co.uk/dryerrecall.
Customer will be able to choose from free replacement or repair options.
