The TT Zero race won't be brought back for next year's annual racing fortnight.
The confirmation comes from Enterprise Minister, Dr Alex Allinson, who was quizzed this week in the House of Keys.
MHK Daphne Caine asked if the department would support the return of the race and whats being done to make the TT more environmentally friendly.
Mrs Caine represented the Island at the COP26 summit - as our Chair of the island's Climate Change Transformation Board.
Dr Allinson said due to the impact of the pandemic and the two-year hiatus following TT 2019, a TT Zero return isn't planned for 2022 or 2023.
However, he did state his department's "overall vision" for the TT is to be fully sustainable and carbon neutral.
