Plans to set up mobile buildings for a renal unit at Ramsey Cottage Hospital will be decided next week.
Manx Care says they'd only be there for two years, or until dialysis services can return to the hospital itself.
The hospital on Cumberland Road has been going through a lengthy programme of renovation, and is now in the process of reopening.
The planning committee will consider Manx Care's application when it meets from 10am on Monday, June 22.
