A truck driver accused of causing a chemical spill which shut a road for nine hours will appear in court again in May.
Neville Marshall of Conister Road in Douglas was excused appearing before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes because of coronavirus when his case was called at Douglas Courthouse.
He's charged with having a dangerous load on a vehicle on August 12 last year, following a spill of potassium borate, hydrogen peroxide and caustic soda on Ballafletcher Road.
The incident sparked a huge response from the emergency services, with nearby residents being warned to stay indoors.
The 64 year old was bailed and will appear again on May 11.
