A slice of the Island's wartime history could become tourist accommodation if a planning application is approved.
Ballagarraghyn Farm in Jurby has applied to transform a disused lookout tower which was used to observe bombers from Jurby airfield as they carried out target practice.
The application would see the concrete tower, formerly part of RAF Jurby Head, expanded to provide living facilities.
However, the observation structure on top used by the military would remain in place if planners give the green light.
