Thousands Descend on St Johns For Tynwald Day Celebrations
It is of course Tynwald Day today, the Island's national day, with the crowds making their way this morning to the ceremony taking place at St John’s around Tynwald Hill.
Tynwald Day sees the passing of the Acts from the last sessions; it also gives members of the public the chance to present their petitions for redress of grievance if there is something inparticular they want addressed.
The ceremony is traditionally attended by a number of VIP's, most notably is Andrew McKinley, the man instrumental in securing the reprieve granted to the reciprocal health agreement.
Tynwald Fair will then be taking place after the ceremony.
