A teenager’s been ordered to do community service for his part in an unprovoked attack on a man in Peel.
17 year old Dylan Edward Wiseman of the Cronk Grianagh Estate in Douglas had previously admitted affray.
He appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse for sentencing.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the court he and a friend had been walking through the Ballawattleworth Estate on December 9 when they started hurling abuse at a passer-by.
A struggle ensued, and Wiseman had held the man’s arms during the scuffle before making off with his friend.
His advocate told the court the teenager was subject to a suspended sentence at the time, but urged the court not to activate it as her client had been changing his behaviour following work with the probation service.
Magistrates warned him he’d be in trouble if he committed further offences, and ordered him to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
