A teenager from Ramsey has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after being caught 'red handed' with drugs.
18-year-old Sol Kipling, of Cronk Raugh, was found weighing out cannabis in his Ford Fiesta on June 4th.
Police approached him on Groudle Road in Onchan just after 7pm - Kipling admitted what he was doing; electronic scales and snap bags were also located in the vehicle.
Officers recovered over 30 grams of Cannabis Bush which had a street value of £656 - Kipling later pleaded guilty to possession of the Class B drug with intent to supply.
At Douglas Courthouse earlier this week Kipling's advocate said the teen had 'an awful lot of growing up to do' adding: "He was caught, literally, red handed."
Passing sentence Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said the offence was 'naive in the extreme'.
She ordered him to carry out 120 hours of community service and pay prosecution costs of £125.
