A number of seriously ill patients have been admitted to Noble's within the last 48 hours - leaving teams stretched.
That's the admission from Manx Care in a statement released yesterday.
It says as a result - the health body has begun to implement a 'well-defined' plan to cope with demand.
As part of these plans, people are being encouraged to consider the Ramsey’s Minor Illnesses and Injuries Unit and only go to the Emergency Department at Noble’s if utterly necessary.
However, Paul Moore from Manx Care wants to reiterate those who require urgent or emergency treatment, should still go up to Noble's Hospital.
