A Douglas MHK says she's worried the Braddan Roundhouse may end up being subsidised by taxpayers after a public meeting last night.
Claire Christian attended the requisition meeting, where some residents called for the resignation of Braddan Commissioners chair Andrew Jessop after hearing the building would cost a total of £10 million.
Mrs Christian said estimates of running costs ran as high as £1 million a year and when fully operational it would earn around £1,000 a day.
On Facebook, she said unless government and the commissioners could find a way forward, Island taxpayers might have to bear the financial burden.
