Post Office to Issue Stamps to Commemorate Occasion
The Isle of Man has been
selected as the location of the Golden Anniversary celebrations of the Model T
Ford Register.
As part of the celebrations
there will be 36 Model T Fords on the Island.
The vintage vehicles represent a
pivotal moment in car production as the steel used to make the frames was
designed not to rust, which is why so many have survived today.
The Anniversary is said to be a
real coup for the Island and will be sure to attract car enthusiasts from far
and wide.
Three of the oldest vehicles date
back to 1911.
The Post
Office have produced a set of commemorative stamps to mark the occasion.
