A teenager has been handed a suspended prison sentence after launching a glass bottle at a group of people in Douglas.
17-year-old Dylan Edward Wiseman, of Cronk Grianagh Estate in Douglas, was involved in a disturbance on Duke Street on June 8th.
At Douglas Courthouse on Thursday his advocate told the court: "He was lucky that no one was hurt due to his actions."
Wiseman had previously admitted the offence of affray as well as a separate matter of being disorderly on licensed premises on May 5th.
He'd also admitted smashing a glass door at the Sayle Gallery at the Villa Marina on July 21st and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on the same date.
Sentencing Wiseman for all offences Magistrates told him: "This sort of behaviour simply cannot be tolerated."
They sentenced him to 14 weeks in custody, suspended for a year, and imposed a Suspended Sentence Supervision Order and eight month licensing ban.
He was also ordered to pay £450 in compensation.
