Slight Changes to Schedule Until Fast Craft Engine\'s are Fixed
The Steam Packet have issued a statement regarding the technical issues they’re currently experiencing with two of their fastcraft vessels.
Both the Manannan and the Snaefell vessels have been hit by damaged crankshafts, a normally uncommon occurrence on the boats.
Theengines are now being examined to make sure that a similar problem won’t occur when the new crankshafts are installed.
The Snaefell is the latest vessel to be affected, with the reduced speed Manannan now covering its routes while engineers determine the problem.
There are some minor changes to the scheduling with boats leaving at 2pm now setting off at 2.45pm, also all sailings due to set sail at 6.15pm will now depart at 6.30 until further notice.
