The Director of Public Health has addressed concerns that the coronavirus could find its way to the Isle of Man.
So far there have been 34 reported cases of the Sars-like illness, with 18 recorded deaths, two of which have been in the UK.
The virus was first detected in mid-2012 with most of those infected identified as having traveled to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan or Pakistan.
The effects of the illness include severe pneumonia with the potential of kidney failure.
Dr Kishore says currently the Island has nothing to worry about, but Public Health are constantly monitoring the situation.
