A shoplifter who targeted four Douglas stores in two weeks has been jailed.
Tara Lee Ashlyn Cowell of Cronk-y-Berry in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The unemployed 35 year old admitted four counts of theft between June 22 and July 6.
The court heard she'd stolen cider and wine from the Spar on Bucks Road, makeup from Boots in Strand Street, crisps and nuts from Spar on Douglas Promenade, and other items from Mace on Bathurst Street.
In total, the items she stole were estimated to be worth £30 and her last two crimes were committed while she was on bail.
A further charge of stealing from Winerite in Douglas was withdrawn by prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon.
Mrs Hughes said although the thefts were of low value, cumulatively the stealing spree had crossed the custody threshold.
She jailed Cowell for a total of 12 weeks.
