Hundreds of people will be marching through Douglas today to remember soldiers past and present who have served in the armed forces.
There will be gunners, hundreds of veterans, current soldiers and school children marching along Douglas Promenade at 15:15 before a service at the Villa Marina.
15 Manx soldiers who are currently serving with be flying back just for the occasion.
Brigadier Norman Butler is the chairman of the Armed Forces Day Comittee. He was serving between 1947 to 1984. He hopes the Isle of Man gets behind the Manx soldiers who are in clear and present danger on Sunday afternoon.
He went on to say out of the 15 Manx soldiers flying back for the occasion it will be a very special day for one of them.
A Castletown soldier will be presented with the Afghanistan service Medal.
