Police say there is a possibility that a missing Peel woman may have entered the sea in the area of Niarbyl Bay.
60-year-old Catherine Pridham - who has been described as 'vulnerable' - was reported missing yesterday.
Her red Toyota Yaris was found at Niarbyl in the west of the Island later that day.
Coastguard and lifeboat teams have been searching the area - and will continue to do so today.
Police officers are providing support to her family.
Anyone who sees anything in the area has been asked to report it to Police Headquarters or the coastguard.
