A Headteacher at a local school has spoken out following concerns about accessibility to toilets.
Ballakermeen Head Graeme Corrin says recent damage has led to the 'difficult decision' to close some facilities.
However, he assures parents 'there will always be several toilets open throughout he school day' - which can be used by anyone - regardless of gender.
He says the school will always have the 'maximum number of facilities available', but some have been left 'unsafe' and must be closed.
Further, he adds there has been an issue of students congregating in toilets - which has been descirbed as 'intimidating' for other pupils.
To address this, Mr Corrin says the school has made changes to ensure more staff are on duty at breaktimes.
