Queen Elizabeth II High School has reassured parents that measures are in place to help pupils cope with the hot weather.
The update comes after comments circulated on social media about school uniform during the soaring temperatures, especially those in skirts and tights.
Headteacher Charlotte Clarke says the school is listening carefully to feedback on the issue, but any changes to the tights policy will be reviewed in September, once knee-length skirts have been consistently adopted across the school.
QEII recently requested parents help make sure their children's skirts are an appropriate length.
She has also urged parents to raise concerns directly with the school and warned it will not tolerate abusive comments about staff on social media.
