The Ruby Clery lifeboat is to leave its home of 27 years this evening to be stationed in the North of the Island.
The RNLI vessel will leave Peel at 6pm tonight as it sets off to take up its new post at Ramsey Lifeboat Station.
It's transfer is part of preparations to welcome the new Shannon class craft which is due to arrive in the West of the Island in Spring and has come sooner than planned because of the improvement work being carried out on the Peel slipway.
Officials say Peel crews will be using a relief lifeboat until the new boat arrives.
