The government is urging the public to be aware of rogue traders, following reports of cold-callers last weekend.
These traders make unsolicited visits to your home offering to do home improvements, such as gardening or tree surgery work.
The Office of Fair Trading was made aware of traders cold-calling, with those concerned now thought to have left the Island.
However, householders are urged to avoid engaging with anyone trying to solicit work by just knocking on your door.
