The President of Tynwald says he won’t be surprised if climate protesters appear at St John’s during the annual open air sitting of the Manx parliament this Friday (5 July).
Last year on Tynwald Day, a demonstration was held over a call for justice for abuse victims of the former Knottfield children’s care home.
In recent months, several protests have been held outside the Legislative Buildings in Douglas, with campaigners calling for government to take ‘rapid action’ to address the climate emergency.
Mr Rodan says dissenting voices are always valued on the Island’s national day.
