There are a series of road closure orders and parking restrictions in place today as hundreds of vehicles are expected to descend on St John’s for Tynwald Day.
Between 10am to 4pm there will be a closure in place on the A1 Douglas to Peel road extending westwards from the former Ballacraine Hotel to its junction with Station Road.
From 10am to 2pm Station Road, St Johns from its junction with the A30 Patrick Road will be closed, except for bus drop offs.
The A30 Patrick Road and the Hope should be used as alternatives for traffic during these times.
Between 8am and 3pm there will be a clearway with no stopping permitted on the length of Glen Mooar Road in St Johns. Station Road junction and Glen Mooar Road will remain open.
