Police say the Douglas Road in Peel is closed while firefighters tackle a fire on Peel Golf Course.
Officers are asking people to find an alternate way in and out of Peel, and also stay off the heritage trail on the old railway line because of smoke.
Douglas Road is shut between the Tynwald crossroads and the junction with Queens Drive and Albany Road in Peel.
Bus Vannin has also announced it's diverting services into Peel via Ballacraine and Poortown Road this afternoon, Wednesday, May 6.
Meanwhile the fire and rescue service is asking nearby residents to keep their windows closed and pets inside as it deals with the blaze.
