New Look Boxall Profile for Young People Will Help Teachers Understand Children With Behavioural Problems More Effectively.
4 Manx Schools and a local school improvement adviser have
been instrumental in updating a vital guide that helps teachers understand
pupils with behavioural problems.
The Boxall Profile for Young People will endeavour to help
the teachers develop new proactive strategies when it comes to dealing
with pupils from 11-14 experiencing social and emotional problems aswell as just
behavioural.
The original guide has sold tens of thousands of copies to School's around the World since it's release, it's hoped the updated version will echo its success, with 10 schools across the Isle of Man and the UK adopting its practices.
Co-author Dave Colley told us that the Boxall Profile promotes the importance of establishing nurture groups that offer a slow moving, safe environment to help the children gain the skills needed to be successfully reintegrated back into the classroom.
