MGP organisers 'saddened' by fan's criticisms

Manx Grand Prix organisers say they're saddened by comments form a long-term fan who says he won't be returning to the meeting.

Mike Sproston of Crewe took to X, formerly Twitter, to say there'd been no atmosphere at this year's event and Manx Grand Prix seemed to be treated as though it was in the way of the Classic TT.

But the official event account responded, saying that didn't tally with feedback it'd been given about this year's meeting.

It invited him to contact race organisers with his views directly.

Hi Mike, we're genuinely disappointed to read this, particularly as you say 2026 will be your last MGP.

We're surprised by some of your comments, as they don't reflect either the feedback we've received or what we experienced during this year's event.
