Glencruthcery Road, the Governers Bridge and dip and the new rook to the nook have just closed (10:00am) for Rally Isle of Man to get underway.
Formerly the Manx International Rally, it features as a high profile round of the UK’s principal rally championships.
The rally itself is set to depart the Grandstand at 10.30am on Friday at the start of a testing eleven hour day, taking in 13 special closed public roads stages across the Island.
In total just over 100 rally crews are set to tackle the islands famous closed roads stages.
Tonight the ever-popular town centre stage through the streets of Castletown takes place with roads closed from 6.20pm till not later than 11.00pm.
