The Island’s Special Olympics squad is thanking the public for their support after the tragic death of a Manx athlete.
25-year-old Gareth Cowin died from refractory septic shock and multi-organ failure in South Korea last week.
The team say he was one of the most dedicated, enthusiastic and popular athletes whose absence will be sorely missed.
They add they are overwhelmed by the strength of feeling for Gareth which demonstrates how popular and loved he was.
Director Adrian Mooney says the organisation will find a way of paying tribute to the floor hockey player:
