Public Meeting to Discuss Bus Timetable Changes to be Held Tonight

Minister David Cretney Will Not be in Attendance at Public Meeting

A public meeting has been called tonight to allow the public the chance to air any concerns or grievances they may have in relation to the newly changed bus timetable.

Since introducing the changes two weeks back Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney has had to deal with a lot of negative feedback from both the public and his fellow MHK's alike.

John Houghton and Bill Henderson particularly have both been vocal in their opposition to the changes, it is they who instigated tonight's meeting.
Minister Cretney told 3FM that after a three month period any major issues flagged up would be ironed out, he stated however that under no circumstances would they be returning to the original timetable.

Mr Cretney declined the invitation to attend saying he would prefer to deal with people's problems on an individual basis.

The meeting will be held at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas at 7.45pm tonight.
