Planners will decide next week if a landmark hotel which has lain unused for years can undergo work to bring it back into use.
Tevir Developments, which owns the Castle Mona Hotel on Castle Drive in Douglas, has applied to remodel the roof and demolish part of it to make way for a future replacement rear building.
It's also applied for registered building consent for the work and planning officers have recommended the proposals are approved.
The Island's planning committee is due to consider the application when it sits on Monday, November 9.
