The BA pilot was left with no claim on her ownership of their £3 million Ascot mansion, or on her trust fund.
The estranged husband of former Island resident Joanna Brown has denied murdering her over a long dispute concerning a prenuptial agreement.
In the first day of his two week trial the prosecution alleged that he murdered his former wife after feeling stitched up by the pre-nup.
Joanna was murdered in November, her body was found in woodland near her Ascot home.
Her husband, and BA pilot, Robert Brown was left with no claim on her ownership of their £3 million Ascot mansion, or on her trust fund.
It was claimed in court that their two children were in the house when their mother was attacked by Brown, who used a blunt instrument like a hammer or a mallet.
He is said to have bundled her into the boot of his car before driving the children in the same vehicle to a friend’s house.
The prosecution say the clearest indicator that he planned to murder his wife lies in the fact her grave had been dug several weeks earlier.
They’re entering day two of the trial at Reading Crown Court today.
