Promenades around the Island will be shut today because of the red weather warning.
They include Laxey Promenade, Castletown Promenade, Shore Road in Gansey, Ramsey's Queens Promenade and from Summerhill to Royal Terrace in Onchan.
The closures are in place between 12pm and 4pm, Tuesday, December 9.
That's when forecasters are predicting severe coastal overtopping and debris being washed onto land.
