Production on UK film Ashes begins on Island on Monday

Household name Ray Winstone will head up the film; he’s best known for his work both in gritty smaller UK films like Scum, and Hollywood blockbusters like the last Indiana Jones.

The Isle of Man will be playing host to some of the UK’s top actors as of next week when production begins on new movie Ashes.

Household name Ray Winstone will head up the film; he’s renound for his work both in gritty smaller UK films like Scum, and Hollywood blockbusters like the Indiana Jones.

Jim Sturgess, Lesley Manville, Jodie Whittaker and Luke Evans will make up the rest of the cast.

The film is being directed by one of the UK’s most acclaimed talents, Mat Whitecross, amongst its financers are the band Coldplay.
 
Principal photography will begin on the Island on Monday.
