Commissioners took to Facebook to remind people to put bins out - but say gale force winds are expected to be blasting the Island.
The local authority says people should make sure they have a house name or number on their bins to help find them again if they blow away.
In its post, the board says binmen will try to make sure bins are put back securely, but some are bound to blow off.
