Postal Workers Receive Ballot Papers Today

Postal workers will receive their ballot papers today as they decide on whether or not to strike over the ongoing pay dispute with the Post Office.

Postal workers will receive their ballot papers today as they decide on whether or not to strike over the ongoing pay dispute with the Post Office.

The Communication Workers' Union who have been acting on behalf of the workers claim they are entitled to a pay rise given the company recorded profit last year, the Post Office argue that the public sector pay freeze enforced is out of their hands and ultimately preventing any possibility of an increase.

The ballot has come about after the Post Office refused to enter arbitration; the Union are strongly urging the workers to vote yes to the strike.

It was announced in the budget on Tuesday that the Public Sector pay freeze would remain in place for at least another year.

They will have until March 13th to register their vote.
