Yesterday an overwhelming 84% of workers voted yes to strike action, Chairman Alan Crowe MLC is now asking them to seriously reconsider the move.
The Chairman of the Post Office has told 3FM they are open to more talks with the Communication Workers Union, but ultimately they still have no room to manoeuvre with regards to pay increases.

He’s branded the move reckless saying it could have serious implications for the companies future.
There are a number of procedures that first have to be undertaken before the strike can get underway, so a date is yet to be confirmed.
If and when the strike is underway the post office would only have 45% of their usual staffing numbers.
There is a contingency plan in place to cope with this eventuality, but according to the Chairman, it is very much something they don’t want to have to resort to.
