Police seek to identify abusive man

Police would like to identify a male involved in a public order incident in the Langness area of Castletown recently.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 1 where the man in question is alleged to have been verbally abusive to other dog walkers in the area following an incident involving his own animal.

He is described as being in his 50s, of stocky or heavy build, around 5ft 10in in height and of generally scruffy appearance.

At the time he was wearing camouflage-style clothing.

His dog is thought to be either a male Lurcher or Hungarian Visla breed with short red hair and a greying nose.

He is also thought to drive a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle.

This male has caused members of the public nearby including a female walking alone and a family to feel upset and threatened by his behaviour.

If you witnessed this incident or can identify the male described, please contact PC Robin Arnold at Port Erin Police Station.
