Police are appealing for the public's help in catching a fly tipper who dumped a sofa in the Brandywell area.
Officers in Peel, who've posted a photograph of it on their Facebook page, say it's an example of fly tipping at it's worst.
They are appealing for the public to contact them if they asked someone to get rid of their sofa in an effort to trace the culprit.
It's sparked an angry response on the social media site - Annette says people who do this are 'lazy, inconsiderate and selfish' and Karen says it's 'unbelievable' when there are amenity sites in most parishes.
Steve says he thinks the problem with fly tipping will become more acute when incinerator charges increase over the next few years.
Anyone with information should contact Peel Police Station.
