The Plastic Packaging Tax is set for Tynwald discussion as the Island prepares to follow UK regulations.
The Order will see a tax put on any plastic packaging that is not made of at least 30% recycled plastic.
Plastic packaging made here or imported to the Island will be charged at a rate of £200 per metric tonne.
It's hoped the tax will encourage recycling and reduce single use plastics across the Island.
