The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's closed part of a plantation from today.
It says operations to harvest timber at Chibbanagh Plantation have begun this morning at the southernmost end of the site.
The majority of Chibbanagh Plantation will remain, except for where the work is taking place.
DEFA's asking people not to enter the harvesting site or approach any forestry vehicles for safety reasons.
