A planning application's been submitted to replace a 50 metre radio tower at the top of Snaefell.
National Air Traffic Services (NATS) is looking for permission to remove the original mast, as the weather's taken its toll on the wooden parts.
Helicopters would be used to do the work, with other materials brought up via the mountain railway.
The new tower will be the same, but built to the south of the existing one before it's taken down- so radio coverage can be maintained during construction.
