A telecommunications company says it wants to build a 45-foot mast in the capital to make sure it's ready for 5G.
Sure Isle of Man has applied for planning permission to put up the structure on waste ground on Woodbourne Lane.
In its application, the company says the mast will be hidden by buildings in the surrounding conservation area.
Describing the mast as crucial infrastructure, Sure says it would vastly improve the mobile network around Douglas and allow it to roll out 5G services in future.
